How Can You Help?
We welcome the gift of books
of all kinds (except text books), in French and in Creole--classics,
novels, mysteries, children's books, how-to-books in all subjects,
especially on agriculture and care of the soil.
Donations to transport the books and to help us build our
new library are also most welcome.

Library La Petite Bibliothèque

Founded in 2001 and housed in two small rooms,
our small library now holds some 2000 works in French and Creole.
Its staff includes a librarian and two assistants.
The library is open on Tuesdays and Saturdays and offers a
children's story hour program on Tuesday afternoons. It is very
popular among young children, older students and young adults.
Membership is up to more than 400.
Future of the LibraryWe
have already chosen the site for a new library complete with a
reading room, reference collection, and the ability to show films
and videos
