Ce livre qui évoque l’histoire, la culture et la vie
sociale et économique de l’ile est un cadeau à tous les habitants de
l’ile afin qu’ils puissent apprécier leur héritage, leur dur
labeur, et leurs efforts pour garder vivante l’image de la perle des
Antilles en Haïti. Le livre a été distribué
gratuitement au mois de Juin 2009 dans toutes les écoles, et a
tous professeurs en espérant qu’il fera partie intégrante de la
formation des écoliers. 
(E) This book discusses the history, culture
and social and economic life of the island. It is a gift
to the people of the island so they can appreciate their
heritage, their hard work and their efforts to keep alive the image
of Haiti as "The pearl of the Caribbean". The book was
distributed free to all schools in June 2009 and all teachers in the
hope that it will be an integral part of the children
education.
